SISO Seminar, ITEC, 14 May, 2018

The annual SISO seminar on M&S standards will be held in conjunction with ITEC 2018, on Monday 14 May 2018, the day before ITEC opens, at Messe Stuttgart, Germany.

In addition to being part of ITEC 2018, Antycip Simulation will again sponsor the important SISO seminar that runs the day before ITEC, May 14, at the same venue.

SISO - The Simulation Interoperability Standards Organisation is dedicated to the promotion of modelling and simulation interoperability and reuse, for the benefit of a broad range of M&S communities.

At the seminar the community comes together to review and discuss progress on the interoperability standards, as part of its annual programme of events which together help make modelling and simulation more efficient and effective for the ultimate end users.

Antycip Simulation has supported SISO and the work it does, for many years. It is also involved at a committee level, as our Chief Scientific Officer, Jean-Louis Igarza, sits on many of the organisation’s panels, and will chair this year’s seminar.

The 2018 seminar will start with a first introductory session presenting SISO, its activities, some recently approved standards and those emerging. NATO M&S Group (NMSG) standardisation activity will also be introduced in the same session, as NATO is a key stakeholder in the M&S standards world and a close partner of SISO. The agenda will then be;

Modelling and Simulation as a Service: less fog in the Cloud - chaired by Robert Siegfried (Aditerna GmbH)

DIS: the eternal interoperability standard - chaired by Patrice Le Leydour (Thales T&S)

Security in LVC environment- chaired by Wim Huiskamp (TNO)

Uses of M&S standards: success stories and promising emergences - chaired by Jose Ruiz, French MoD, DGA.

The seminar is open to SISO members but non-members are more than welcome.
