Legacy Static 3D Terrains Get New Life Easily and Affordably
Cogent3D, Inc., at ITEC 2009 launched an easy-to-use 3D terrain reuse tool called Symmetry™. Symmetry allows users to release the value trapped inside your current 3D terrain databases, so it can be used to build new optimised and correlated 3D terrains. It can also be added to the corporate centralised data archive. Four clicks and users’ static 3D terrains are quickly made into GIS source data. Furthermore it can be used to create new correlated, enhanced, and optimised 3D terrains, maps, sensors, and other representations. Symmetry works on your existing OpenFlight, OneSAF, JCATS, MetaFlight, and soon with support for VR-Forces GDB 3D terrain. Starting August 2009, Symmetry will include the ability to convert these existing 3D terrains into a new OneSAF 3D terrain along with new GIS source data.
