Communications Modelling

Antycip Simulation provides industry leading tools for communications modelling and emulation.

The company’s portfolio includes the powerful communications software from Scalable Network Technologies (SNT); SNT is the market leader in parallel processing technology for network performance emulation of wireless device development, interoperability, Homeland Defence, Information Warfare, network-centric warfare, and training.

The flagship product, QualNet enables you to digitally very accurately represent your entire network - devices, software, transmitters, antennas, terrain effects, atmospheric effects, and human interaction effects to the extent that users or components connected to the virtual network cannot discern whether it is connected to the digital representation or a live network. Furthermore equipment tests that traditionally required months to perform can now be performed in minutes, with real-time speed and real network behaviour.

The QualNet Product Family consists of QualNet Developer, which runs in sequential or parallel mode, plus a number of add-on model libraries; Developer Library, Wireless Library, Multimedia and Enterprise Library, Advanced Wireless Library, Cellular Library, Military Radios Library , Network Emulation Library,  Network Security Library, Propagation Library: ALE/ASAPS ,  Propagation Library: TIREM ,  Propagation Library: Urban  Satellite Library, Sensor Networks Library, Standard Interfaces Library, and UMTS Library .

All software is based on UNIX, Windows, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems. It is also designed to link seamlessly with VR Forces applications from MÄK Technologies as  well  as live networks.

The newest product from SNT is EXata; the wireless emulator that evaluates on-the-move realistic & fast communication networks by creating a digital network replica that interfaces with real networks in real time, using real applications. By combining software, hardware, human, and Internet-in-the-loop connections, the results give an ultra-realistic communication over all layers of the network to connect all war fighters, improve situational awareness, and provide a common operational picture.

EXata comes in two parts: the main EXata emulation engine that creates a digital replica of your target network, and the Connection Manager that runs on your operational systems. Applications use the Connection Manager to run their network traffic over the EXata network. Most importantly, Connection Manager makes EXata’s advanced emulation technology easy and simple to use, removing the need for modification or customisation to use the realistic emulated network. Connection Manager supports a large variety of applications; Internet browsers, Tactical communications, Situational awareness information, Sensor data, Instant messengers, VoIP, Streaming video, and Multi player games.

All of QualNet’s Model Libraries are available for EXata. Model Libraries in C/C++ greatly extend the base capabilities of EXata and are customizable. EXata is also built on the same ultra efficient parallel kernel as QualNet. EXata and QualNet have similar GUI capabilities.

EXata and QualNet are integrated with MÄK Technologies VR-Forces.
